I think we are starting to go backwards in time...backwards in time...backwards in time...yep we're doomed!
I don't know bud.....I am going to stick with the Runaways and the Bangles. Too much drama with the Dixie Chicks and Natalie Maynes irritates me. So, I guess you can say it; but, you'd be making a poor choice.
Larry the Cable Guy once said, "if It wasn't for those two pretty sisters of hers, Natalie would be working at a Lane Bryant in Nashville".
Let me put it this way; I don't hate nor love the Dixie Chicks. Would I ever spend any money on one of their albums, not a chance in hell. Do I change channels if they show up on the radio or the tube, nope they aren't that bad. Nice harmony, not offensive to look at on the TV, but not inspirational in any fashion. They have a number of "feel good" songs that are kinda cute, but they won't pry a dollar out of my pocket. And truth be told, people vote with their feet or their money. They won't get any of my money, but I won't run away from them when I hear them either.
By the way, if you have forgotten here is Doug Kershaw's show off of how to "fiddle" not play violin in the concert hall. I have always loved his interpretation of "blue grass". That man can play that dang thing standing on his head it seems. Goto: YouTube - Louisiana Saturday Night - Doug Kershaw - Live in concert -
Okay, I'll say it. I "like" the Dixie Chicks. Just found and listened to this; Travelin' Soldier. YouTube - Dixie Chicks - Travelin' Soldier
Watched the video Biak posted, and yes a good song. I just wish entertainers stuck to entertaining. I don't care or want to know about thier politics, whatever they may be, left or right. If they want or intend to influence my political beliefs, give up show buisness and become a politician, otherwise express thier beliefs the way the rest of us do, at the ballot box.
