I may be young but...

My name is Thomas and I'm 28 years old. Now with that said, many of my elders do not believe that I know anything about world war two because of my age or I wasn't there. Agreed but I have such a love for this subject that I have been researching it ever since I was 5 years old, and by research I mean toys. So I do have conceptual knowledge of the subject and many portions of deeper understanding. From Hitler and the Thule society to the black whining dots over Germany. Know I wasn't there precisely but I have a beautiful, different perspective then everyone else due to my grandfathers words and stories, even though he hated to talk about it, and my real world experience over in Iraq and Afghanistan. Sure it's no world war and tactics are completely different but I know war, even if it's subsequent value now is nil. I love getting different perspectives from Vets of that era because it paints a different perspective that's not in history books and sadly over acted in Hollywood, due to todays media and propaganda over compensating the "War on Terror." I dismiss being called a " Hero" because I always compared the true heroes of Wars past as the true people to deserve that expletive. If it weren't for them I couldn't have done what I did. All in all this is definitely not a hate speech, I just want everyone to understand that just because we are young doesn't mean "we don't know." Thank you all Veterans of all Domestic and Foreign wars!

I was 28 once myself Thomas, so I might have an understanding how you feel, I think. Anyway there's plenty of like-minded folks here, and plenty of WW2 stuff to learn. Get to digging around and enjoy yourself here.

 

Yes sir and thank you. I have done a but of perusing on here already and it seems as there is some animosity toward Americans. I never said we were the soul winners of ww2 but to those other Americans that think that way your ignorant and need to do your research
