    It's nice as an entertainement, however debatable on a historical aspect. I do believe it is a useful reminder for all that colonial troops have also contibuted to the the Liberation of France. However I don't agree with some of the figures. For instance the definition of Colonial troops is not the same for eveybody and included the Europeans from North Africa. I also believe this film is somewhat romanced and the role of colonial troops overestimated. Yet, if you see it as a militant film it is a success. One major step is that from now on all veteran pensions will be the same for all, from France to indochina (Vietnam ), as well as Africa. Finally I have as much respect for all veterans no matter where they came from.
