Interesting Article concerning Mortman2004 and or Ranger6 for you all to read

I do not know if this is appropriate for the board however, I wanted to let you all know something very important. I was scammed by someone posing to be a retired Major in the US Army and I think he was a former member of this board by the name of Mortman2004. He's a scammer and has a prior prison record of scamming/swindling women out of money (including me, his last victim), terrorist threats, credit card fraud, assaulting women and whatnot. This is my story and I wanted to share this with you.

It seems that Mortman2004 has also been impersonating a retired Major in the US Army which is a Federal offense (in which he was caught as well).

Thanks for the info. Yes Mortman2004 has come up here before. I don't think I ever had contact with him but, a guy by the name of WolveUSMC did post on this forum that he was a poser. Here are two links where the issue comes up:

USMC, the fact that I had to have him exposed as he not only was not a retired Major in the US Army Rangers but he's been scamming women left and right of money. He's claimed many many things on many forums: he's claimed that he's been in Desert Storm, he's claimed he's been in Mogodishu and injured there, he's claimed that he's got a son in Indianapolis and been the victim of a domestic abuse case with his ex girlfriend...I mean I can go on and on. He is a confrontational person, he's a very angry person and he's lived a failed life due to his own life choices. I have copies of his arrest records where he's been to prison for credit card fraud and terrorist threats in Minnesota stemming all the way from 1993 (there is an arrest record for him in 1989 due to an assault on a woman that ended his Army National Guard career with a dishonorable discharge-he was only in the National Guard for 6 months).

I found out the hard way how much of a fraud this person was. Finally, after seeing the tell tale signs of scamming, I reported him to the US military (to CJ Grisham) as I was receiving death threats to my person from him and CJ called him. Mike admitted to CJ that he better watch himself as he was retired Major in the US Army. CJ did his homework and exposed him not only in military and criminal records but that Mike CONFESSED on the phone to First Sergeant Grisham that he WAS retired major...uhm, which now Mike has committed a Federal offense for impersonating an officer in the US Army. Mike had nothing to say afterwards when CJ confronted him in regards to why there is nothing on his record ever being in the Rangers at all nor in Desert Storm/Desert Shield/or the Afghanistan campaign.

As you can tell, CJ and I have turned everything over to the FBI now and probably to the US Army Intelligence to have Mike McCormick arrested and charged with a lot of crimes. It took a woman to finally stand up to this long time P.O.S. and take him down the right way. He won't get away with what he's done, this I do know but it is out of my hands.

In saying all of this, the person I feel horrible for most of all is the soldier in Washington state whose picture Mortman2004 took and used as his own. The true Ranger, the Captain as I call him, deserves on helluva salute as I hope to one day (which I highly doubt) to meet. He is a true warrior in every sense of the word..as for all of you who have served valiantly in the military no matter what way or in what conflict.

 

Oh Mike thought I didn't listen...he thought that he could push me around like he did so many others...that I wouldn't see through his bullsh*t and wouldn't stand up to his threats. Yes, he threatened to punch me, he threatened that he would make one phone call to Fort Bragg and call his Army buddies up to come up to Raleigh to hurt me and take out my family. He's said a lot of things which is all documented by the way. He threatened CJ on the phone as well which was probably his biggest mistake yet. So in taking down this turd, my only wish is that he never see the outside of a prison for the rest of his life. And you bet I want to see this turd in court...I want him to never ever forget my face as I speak not only for myself but for the other victims who can't stand up for themselves or say anything.

I'm not afraid of him...and that is why he's afraid of me.

 

He was/is a knucklehead. I think one of his lines was that he was a JROTC commander someplace in New Jersey while he was awaiting orders to go back overseas. Good riddence I say.

 

He told me this too at one time however he never lived in New Jersey; this I do know. I'm just sorry that this *cannot say the name I WANT to call him here in polite company* lied so much to you all in regards to his service. I have documents that give proof of what he's really been doing...what he's been doing is serving prison time and being convicted along with scamming women with his tales of being a major in the military.

Indeed, good riddance. Let the justice system and karma do their jobs...
