After todays attack's on the British Consulate and HSBC building in Istanbul do members consider that the war in Iraq has effected any change in Terrorist operations against the 'west'
(despite the fact that they are killing/injuring more Muslims than any other creed)

Will these fanatics ever run out of suicide bombers or is there an ever willing recruitment system in place???
    Regards Graham.

Very depressing and frustrating. It's easy to call them maniacs, fanatics or loonies but think about it - Bush and Blair are together under the most incredible blanket of security and this has been planned and co-ordinated and delivered and says :

'See - we can reach out and get your people'. [IMG]

I really don't know what the answer is and I have a sick feeling that Bush and Blair don't either.

Didn´t mean to say Bush and Blair were innocent either...

Just saw a very interesting sign on TV:

    " Bush go home!

    and take Blair with you...."

What I find funny is that they didn't need to blow anything up, the terrorists have cost london how much already? Think about it, all they have to do is seem threatening and the government will spend loads on security.

Maybe rather than asking ourselves how we can defend against terrorism we should ask why we are being targeted without saying 'because they are loonies and hate democracy'.

I don't think they'll stop, even if Bush and Blair get out. They'll always want more... as Bush and Blair do! [IMG]

You sure as hell do not see VINCENTE FOX offering any solution to this problem! All he is good for is sending over some 400,000 illeagals to our border every year.

I didn't vote for him... I can't even vote here...

But no, Fox - whether I like him or not - doesn't have why to solve what USA or GB have to do to stop terrorist attacks, because one of the few good things about this country is that it doesn't mess with other people sovereignity, unlike others. The only substantial thing Fox has done is telling Bush a clear and loud NO! last March.

And well, he is - and thumbs up! - trying to improve both countries' relationships and trade, I really don't think he IS sending people there by goverment decree... That's what has to be done; trying to reach consent points and agreements, instead of having bad actors wanting to prevent 'invasions' and driving the 'invaders' out of 'your' country...

No Fox does not have to do anything but, he SHOULD make an attempt at trying. Maybe in doing so, he can help bring the rest of Mexico into the new century.

No, instead, Fox is going to sit on his dead a$$ and stand by and do nothing but moan and groan all the while American G.I.s, British Tommies, Polish and Italians lives, etc etc etc are doing the dying.

If all Fox can do is say NO, then he also needs to "grow a set" and DO something about it.

NAFTA is a FARCE and you know it. Nafta was slick willys idea, and all it has done is lost us dozens if not hundreds of thousands of jobs that we cannot afford to lose.

Nobody said he IS sending people here by Govt decree but it is well-known that he is making sure that they are headed our way.

Why the hell should we have to reach a point of consent on anything? WE are not sending hundreds of thousands of unwanted people to Mexico to not only tie up their economic stytem but also the welfare, medical, educational and judicial systems as well, Mexico is.

So, Mexico is treathening your seccurity and taking away your resources. Invade it then. That's the way Bush and his thugs do things...

And I'll just shut up now. I don't have why to discuss stupid politics of this kind...

You better believe it Fried, if its possible that it can happen, don't discount it.

Bush and his thugs? That makes no sense at all. Fox is as dirty as any drug smuggling punk is who lives across the border.

It should be rephrased: "Fox and his thugs."

Also, yes its a good idea not to argue politics, let it end now.

I wish I could go back in time and make Mexico GLADLY accept the new Emperor and the French Army to stablish here, so they could march towards Texas and Louisiana while the British attacked the north and the bloody yanks killed each other at Gettysburg! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

ouch...that hurts. I really dont think te north could have taken an all-front invasion as well as the Germans did... The Texas women left behind during the Civil War would have beaten back the southern invasion. You can't argue with me until you've met Texas women and I think Carl can vouch. NOBODY wants to mess with Texa women when they're flustered.

I bet French soldiers could! Doesn't everyone say that French men are better lovers than soldiers? Which is not true, since they are very, very good doing both. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Somehow this brings Monty Python's "Life of Brian" to mind.

But I think Texas women are a little more loyal than that. Give em a good frying pan and a rolling pin and they'll beat the tar out of anyone (especially they're husbands).
