Japanese Fighter Units at Kwajalein 1/44?

    Gentlemen: I am trying to identify which Japanese fighter aircraft units were located on Kwajalein Atoll in January, 1944. On 1/5/44 7 Japanese fighters from Kwajalein engaged and shot down a USN PB4Y-1 photo reconnaisance aircraft from Fleet Air Photo Sqdn 3. All 13 hands aboard were KIA. Can anyone tell which Japanese squadron(s) were there at that time, or point me to a source on the subject? Thanks in advance.
