Jim Rickards warns of AI for military applications

Best selling author and financial guru Jim Rickards warns of AI for military applications that control nuclear weapons. If AI determines the other side is going to attack, AI will initiate an attack. There's no human intuition/intervention or abductive logic to stop the nation from going to war. He also warns that the Chinese are setting up AI as part of their defense. Harbor Freight security doesn't sound good to me.

Anyway, Rickards cites how in 1983 when there was a Soviet Union that NATO conducted wargames which led the Soviets to start fueling up their bombers and prepping their missiles in anticipation of the Cold War going hot. An American Lt. General saw that and urged a stand down which happened. The KGB saw NATO standing down and stopped readying their missile and returned their bombers to their hangers. Similarly, Soviet Colonel Stanislov Petrov ignored radar warnings that the US had launched five missiles. His decided to ignore the warning as a glitch instead of reporting it and recommending a counter-strike. In both cases human intervention and insights prevented nuclear war.
