    JUNE 30, 1926-JAN. 24, 2009

    John William Keller, 82, of 1218 Eleanor Lane, Hagerstown, Md., died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at Washington County Hospital.


    Born June 30, 1926, in Virginia, he was the son of the late Fred W. and Lena Heflin Keller.


    He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.


    He retired in 1986 from Marquette Cement Company after 40 years of service.


    John was a lifelong hunter and fisherman.


    He was a life member of North American Rod and Gun Club, and Goodwill Athletic Club. He was a member of VFW Post 1936 and the Williamsport Red Men, Conococheague Tribe 84.


    He is survived by his companion of 30 years, Elaine Winegardner of Hagerstown; one daughter, Kay Keller of Hagerstown; one son, Randy Keller and wife, Linda, of Hagerstown; one stepdaughter, Lainey Free and husband, Michael, of Hagerstown; one sister, Madeline Payne of Redding, Calif.; one granddaughter, Jill Keller and husband, Warren Spaid, of Smithsburg: one great-granddaughter, Allyson Spaid of Smithsburg,; two stepgranddaughters; four stepgrandsons; one stepgreat-grandson; nieces; and newphews.


    He was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia and Grace; and three brothers, Clarence, Stanley and Gene.


    Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev .Louis L. Emerick will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Graveside military honors conducted by Morris Frock American Legion Post 42.


    The family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.

    May he rest in peace and cheers for posting all these Walkerbulldog, your effort is appreciated.
    When I have more time I shall read al of them , this is my way to say "thank you" and to pay a tribute for those who have reached the last post :poppy:
