    Carl :

Every time I see that icon I know something is up. So sad, and more to follow unfortunately. Nothing can be said to make it any better.

    Carl :

Hopefully this chap is not deceased yet.

Can you or your German contacts find the adresse of a former night fighter pilot who received the RK in april of 45. Served in NJG 5 towards the end of the war.

    Ernst-Georg Drünkler

If you could find his adresse I would be most pleased !

    Danke

Im not sure of who might know him but I think I have a few Luft Night Fighter Vets org addresses I can send you (if I remember) tomorrow.

I know Martim Drewes was in a different NJG unit, but he might know. I will also send a message to Christian of the OdR tomorrow and inquire. I have to write to him of some good news for the OdR about the location of an RKTs gravesite in Napa Valley California. Remind me if I dont say anything here in a few days.

Also, did I ever send those photos to you that you wanted?? Im so messed up these days.

I know Im to send you those photos of Dietsche and havent forgotten, just usually dont have the time. I was going to do so today as I was "cleaning" out some of my old emails, but it took much longer with Hotmail because of the very slow times for an email to load after getting out from another.

I will also try to go through all of Christians emails to recheck some of the RKT deaths--just in case.

Let me know by a swift kick in the arse, if I dont send you those Dietsche photos by Saturday. Also because the library will be closed Sun and Monday due to holiday.

I'm leaving tomorrow till Monday, but yes the Dietsche pics would be great and the copy of Galland and Karl B. Tettlebach for my twin-engine job files. Check with Christian and the OdR for Ernst Georg Drüunkler though he may not be a member of the RK association. If he has passed on that would be a shmae, but if you could find his whereabouts that would certainly aid in my private research as I am helping a New Zealand friend with the March 16/17th raid over Germany. We have a file almost an inch thick just from a years study.
Our own work on the single engine night fighter jobs is going great. Hey, everybody have a great Labor day weekend !

You need a break ! Take a long bike ride, and hopefully the road system in Chorpus Christi is flat so you can put in 20 or 30 miles. Hey, that's what I do to leave stress plus it's so good for the bod.
    Chat with you on Tuesday.

Thanks, I would go for a ride but, my Raleigh hates rain. And talking about flat, its so flat here that if there were no trees, you could probably see California from here.

As for stress, im sitting next to two beautiful ladies wearing cut-offs and short-shorst and its very difficult not to ooogle them. All I say is that I cant keep my attention on the screen for very loaidjvbk bydv dbubi uiuin...er-what were we talking about?

Oh before I forget, I will have the Dietsche fotos emailed to you before I leave today. Then there is no emailing till tuesday-less I spend the cash at an internet cafe

Hope you all have agreat day off, BBQ some Brisquit or Chicken for me, im hungry. See you on tuesday.

Another Knights Cross Recipient passed awhile ago. He is Friedrich-Wilhelm Breidenback, passed away 03-02-99.

Another RKT is near death, he is: Anton-Detlov von Plato. He was a General in the Bundeswehr. This info is from Gunny Lawrence, who had a letter from von Platos son who is a Colonel in the Bundeswehr. It states he is unable to do anything and many things we take for granted have been taken away from him. He is most likely worse off than Ronald Reagan is with his bout with the disease. :( :( :(

    I appreciate the info Gunny.
