In March of 1945 the 340th Bombardment Group (B-25's) moved out of their station on Corsica headed to Rimini. The ground echelon traveled by boat to Livorno then by truck the rest of the way.

My father took a few snapshots of the loaded boats in and approaching the harbor of Livorno (he labeled them Leghorn).

Is that the sort of thing you are looking for?
