I am looking for any information about a small conflict the took place in the 1940's. It wasn't related to the war, but some of our soldiers were used to settle a small race riot that took place in Savannah, Georgia. They called it "Black Friday", but I can't seem to find anything out about it. I am looking for dates and units that were involved. A man that I am a caretaker of was involved in a firefight there, but he can't remember the dates of the conflict. Any information would be helpful.

    Thanks.
