Hi All, Came to this forum via a 'link' on another one. I am already with five others - one of which I hardly look at (due to bad manners of one self-style Bob 'expert') - but then hardly anybody else does either! Two others with a different user name. I am almost 60, my Father of 90, was in the RAF during WW2 - gave catapult training at RAF Gosport to Lawrence Olivier, and Ralph Richardson. I have been interested in military history for at least forty-five years. It seems natural to me - when reading about an some one/event/equipment what would have happened 'if'.
Merlin, welcome to this fine forum. We look forward to your input, and more about your father's service.
Thanks (all) for the welcome - would have done more 'input' but several threads I was interested in - turned out to be 'closed'! I like the one when my Father was stationed in West Africa. When due to the turbulence that aircraft would encounter enroute - people would step of the aircraft 'and they were 'green'"!
Welcome to the forum Merlin! I found this forum by clicking on a link while i was looking for something too(So we are in the same boat ). Happy Posting!
