Any ideas, besides eBay, where back issues of the English version can be acquired? Without taking a second mortgage out on the house?

In the past, I have bought copies from Barbarossa Books in the UK. I know that supplies from H&C in France can be very problematic but Barbarossa are a helpful and reputable dealer.

William--you might also want to get Militaria International--I think they are publishe every 2-3 months and are a very welldone magazine. You can also get that militaria magazine published by Krause publications--but it kinda sucks now. When I first bought one--they were great and I found a few dealers I still buy from that advertised in that newspaperlike magazine. When Krause took over--it went down hill very quick. :( Shame too--because it used to be THE PREMIER Militaria Collectors source for the "good stuff." :(

Is this magazine the same as the german Internationales Militaria Magazine. That's a great magazine. I bought a copy last weekend and consider a subscription.

Hi Volkbert--this one is published in the USA. Ill gladly send you a copy --- or this one when I get through with it if you want to look at it. Right now im doing some research on a few things mentioned in there and I am about to send them a long letter telling them about an error they made on an award they talked about in another issue.

Someone sent in a picture of "an old German" medal. The editor of the magazine correctly identified it as a Flandern Cross--but where he was in error at was when he said that the Flandern Cross was passed out to all Imperial German Navy men in ww1--- which is incorrect the Flandern Cross was passed out ONLY to men who served in the Marine Freikorps Brigades--which there were three and one even being commanded by my all-time favorite ww1 Uboat ace--Lothar von Arnauld de la Perrier.

Carl -- If you could send a copy of Militaria Magazine together with the pictures you are going to sent me that would be great. Always willing to learn new magazines.

I never heard of that wwI ace. Do you also read a lot about WWI?

Hi Volkbert--ill go to Barnes and Nobles tonight and see if a new copy of this magazine is out yet. If not--ill send the one I have along to you.

Lothar von Arnauld de le Perrier, was Germanys greatest Uboat ace in ww1--along with Weddigen. In ww2, de la perrier was killed in a plane crash I think in 1940 or 1941 :(

I used to do alot of studying on ww1, but found my main interest is ww2 with a few exceptions. Thanks to Rick Lundstrom---I now collect Imperial German items as well as ww2 stuff. When I get all copies of my stuff done--ill have the stuff broken down into Imperial and ww2 sections--and everything will be labled as properly as I can.

Ill let you know when I get everything done. [IMG]

Thanks Carl! If they don't have a copy then you can also wait till a new one arives in the shop instead of sending your own. Otherwise you lose a number in your collection.

About the WWI ace, sailors must not fly! :D

Thanks in advance Carl, I appreciate this very much!

Tonight I tested my scanner. It was a gift from a friend and I have no software like photoshop. So I had to try some possibilities with the software I have. And managed to make good scans and reduce the image size for the internet.
