Can anyone please enlighten me as to the effectiveness of modern anti-tank weapons? I would have thought that with shoulder launched anti-tank missles, and indeed the capabilites of modern aircraft, tanks would no longer be dominant on the battlefield. I know tanks are much faster these days, and can easily fire on the go, but does this counter what I perceive to be a massive improvement in the quality of anti-tank weapons since the days of WW2. Would tanks still be such an important weapon in a war between two countries of similar technological capability? I await your thoughts with interest
