    Mrs. Helen Haky

    Mrs. Helen Heim Haky, 95, of Frederick, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at the Golden Living Center, Frederick. She was the wife of George Francis Haky, who died Nov. 29, 1989.


    Born Feb. 20, 1913, in Buckeystown, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Stella Castle Heim.

    Mrs. Haky served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. Prior to her military service, she was employed at Frederick Tailoring and Muse Tailoring Co. She had been employed at Western Electric in Indianapolis, Ind., for 25 years. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America.
    Mrs. Haky was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

    Surviving is a half brother, Melvin Heim and wife, Kathleen, of Frederick. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by six sisters, Klora Eicholtz, Lillie Wilcom, Margaret Myers, Evelyn Ramsburg, Dorothy Miller, and Glenna Stup; half sister, Hazel Masser; and two brothers, Charles E. Heim Jr., and Edward M. Heim.

    Mrs. Haky is at the Robert E. Dailey and Son Funeral Homes, P.A., 1201 N. Market St., Frederick, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2.

    Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the funeral home.

    Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
