Robby, we were having some problems. Thanks for being persistent.

    Was the blade by itself?

Nice "Blue and White Devils" patch. Audie Murphy's old outfit is one of my favorites to read about.

Very nice prop blade. One of my close buddies went to Kursk a couple of months ago and found numerous artifacts such as a mosin nagant bayonet, a shell fragment from a 88mm tankshell, and quite a few shells from Kar 98 rifles. I may have some pictures somewhere. If i still have them ill post.

Very nice. The lighting wasn't bad in those photos. Where did you get your reichs mark?

Great addition, I have this 1935 figure on a watch and never thought it was made with the back of a Reich Mark coin, thanks for letting me know.

Great mannequin , I like the little details with the French bread and the snow.

I got some great helmets, one of my favorite ones today is a rare Vichy Militia helmet. This was the 1944 collaboration police from Vichy . They were transformed police helmets (the insignia was removed and the Milice emblem painted on it) . WWII police helmets are common, but Vichy ones are very rare. I have reasons to believe mine is an original and not a post war one. The black is painted on the M-1926 adrian (dated 1927 in the liner) . The liner is an original leather one with a leather strap (police ones have plastic straps and liner were renewed in 1945 but mine is stil lthe old one). The helmet was found in an attic only 10 km from Vichy and the triangles and laces of the liner have been eaten by mice and never replaced. It was hardly rusted and all I had to do was to clean it and put some shoe polish on it to stop the rust.

The Vichy Regime had its governement there. What is less known is that the Milice also widely committed their misdeeds in the Northern zone. They were often more zealous than the Gestapo and have executed many partisans and civilians without a warning. Their members were often die hard Nazis and were hated an feared more than the Germans because they would be ready to accept the "dirty jobs" without asking questions . As a matter of revenge, after the Liberation many Militians were executed without a trial as well (an eye for an eye, a tooth fo a tooth) . Others were legally sentenced to death or sent to prison.
