    Hello everyone!

My name is Tom and I'm from WV. As a recent AF retiree, I'm finally getting to do some of my hobbies and researching WWII events that I find interesting.

My current research topic is trying to get more information on my Grand-father who served in the Pacific from 1940-1945. I have his discharge papers, but the more I search, the more inconsistancies I find with the official US Army information. BTW: He served with the CoB 767tn Bat.

My hobbies are extensive but related. History is my first joy, then coins, military medals, research, and collecting what ever interests me. Since I've been overseas for 13 years and did a lot of "world" travels, I'm hoping to see some of more of the states.

As for period history, I'm interseted in Byzantine/Roman eras. As for military history, for some reason I've always enjoyed artillery. I guess my Dad and Grandfather being in Artillery had something to do with it.

As for my handle, I've always liked wolves and received two nicknames early in my career. Lol, Between wolves and vulture, I liked wolves better. I will also add, I ended my career in the Wolf Pack in Korea.

    I'm glad to be here!

Welcome Tom. You're sure to meet many like minded people on the forum. Tell us more about your grandfather. What kind of inconsistencies have you discovered? Can you scan and post his discharge papers? There are plenty about who can give you advice on how to proceed or even answer some of your questions. We look forward to more of your posts.
