Has anyone read a book called "British and American Tanks of World War Two: The Complete Illustrated History of British, American and Commonwealth Tanks" by Peter Chamberlain and Chris Ellis? My local bookshop is selling that book at reasonable price and I might be interested in it. But as most of you already know, I'm not a tank person, I dont know anything about tankbooks. Does anybody know if it is any good? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/03...103-0323006-4832675?n=507846&s=books&v=glance
I had an Encyclopedia of American tanks, I believe by the same author(s), but it was lost in a fire several years ago. However, based on what I know of those two, your book is probably worth buying.
Yes, worth buying. I got a copy cheap a few years back, and it has proved invaluable in keeping up on here.
I've had that book for years, and I still use it on a regural basis. Browse through it a couple of times, and you will be participating in the debates on the tank forum like a veteran.
Okay, now I need opinion about another book. "The Nelson Companion" by Colin White. Amazon.com Again local bookstore is selling away some unpopular books at reasonable price and that was one of those.
Okay, I need again an opinion about a book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Janes-World...ef=sr_1_4/203-3195229-1721503?ie=UTF8&s=books Local bookshop is selling those at reasonable price (lower than amazon).
Now it is again time for sale in my local bookstore. Again, I'd like to have an opinion about couple of books: First, D-Day Operation Overlord Day by Day, author Anthony Hall. Second, Gebirgsjäger 1939 - 1945. Die große Bildchronik, author Roland Kaltenegger. This might be translated in English with name German Mountain Troops In World War II: A Photographic Chronicle Of The Elite Gebirgsjsger. Both of these are translated in Finnish. Has anyone either of those books? Comments are welcome.
