    Excellent.
Wish I'd read your advice before interviewing Albert Hing. Too bad the info and pics disappeared when ww2f transferred server or whatever happened. You might be interested in interviewing Albert from Lethbridge, Ms.F...A rogue here found his record and posted it way back. Albert has some excellent bits. Still pretty sharp too.

If you email his contact info and whatever else you have to elinor1@telus.net, I will put him on my list. I can't promise anything. Allan Cameron from Sylvan Lake, Alberta also interviews vets on video and I will pass this along to him. Thanks for your interest.

As always Elinor, a good entry to your blog. I think I've read most of these. Your advice on conducting interviews, as well as input by the rogues, provides a good line on them. Thanks to all.

Have been fortunate to record interviews with about 30-40 veterans across the UK and heard some remarkable stories.

    Some highlights:
    * the British soldier saved from summary execution during Market Garden by a German medic
    * the soldiers who met the Russians on the Elbe as the war ended - they all wondered what they were going to do with their lives now
    * the sniper who fought from D-Day to Holland

Hoping to do an oral history project with these soon.

If you know a veteran, give him/her some time - in an hour you can record his story for ever. And you can do it on an i-Phone now if you wish.
