    Hello Everyone,

I'm an attorney in Portland, OR, USA who recently got hooked on the War after playing Call of Duty: World at War. Now I can't stop reading books, watching movies, and playing video and board games relating to the subject. I started a blog at Legacy of the Iron Cross in order to help others weed out the diamonds in the rough when choosing their next book, movie or game to consume.

I'll be combing the forum for suggestions. Please visit my site and tell me what you think of my noobish opinions.

Our recently elected Mayor Lied about having a sexual affair with an 18 year old Legistlative intern and was found out.

Welcome Evan, interesting blog which I've added a couple of comments to.

For films seriously recommend "The Longest Day", safe to say it's a big fave across the board, has aged well and it's inclusivity is to be celebrated. Also seeing as you seem quite open to foreign cinema recommend trying "Come and See", a very dark Russian film, and "Das Boot" a German submarine film which comes with an option of German with subtitles, or an English dub.

Be wary of what you wish for though, you can easily get buried in the pile of recommendations we can collectively make.

    cheers

I'm in NE. If you are interested in playing any WWII themed board games let me know. I have the new Anniversary Edition of Axis & Allies, as well as Europe Engulfed.

No worries, it's a good blog which I'd like to see run and run, and without comments you're very likely to get bored with it, and there's a new comment there now just to keep you on your toes. ;)

Can't be the same. Welcome aboard, Iron Cross! I'm an old Squad Leader (before the Advanced part) gamer, as well as of a number of things.

Welcome! As you can already tell, this is a fine and friendly place. I am also an attorney (tech companies and emerging businesses in general, although I've done public company stuff in the past). What do you do?

    Cheers!
