Hello all, Just thought I'd share 3 documents in a grouping that I have just obtained from a member of the Gestapo &, eventually, 9th SS Panzer Divison 'Hohenstaufen': Picture 1 - 3 documents signed by SS-Obergruppenfuhrer Reinhard Heydrich Picture 4 - 5 document signed by General der Polizei Wolf-Heinrich Graf von Helldorf - executed on 15th August 1944 at Plötzensee Prison for his support of the July 20th plotters as Berlin Chief Of Police.
Outstanding Docs and Sigs to say the least. Also, thanks to Lou, I got a heads up about these. You never fail to amaze me with what you pick out of the woodwork ;-))
I've also picked up a wehrpass, photos, telegrams & some letters to an early war Luftwaffe Knights Cross winner, who continued to fill in his unit postings in his wehrpass during his post war Luftwaffe service so it shows an unbroken time of service from 1936 to 1970!
Very interesting document and signature! Thanx for sharing these!!!! BTW, I did read that Heydrich was very interested in using the "one word" signature. Did he ever go for it and does anyone have pictures of this signature? Thanx for any answers.
Hi Hucks, you mind if I get his last name? i'd love to do some research on this guy ;-)) I will have something to announce here once I actually get this item and paid in full and in my hands. Trouble is, is that will be at least a few months. Care to guess whit it could be? Two hints I can give, one being it that it's Iron Cross related as well as only three from the era it was made in-were made. I know the Gent who has all three of these and is willing to part with one. ;-))
Name of the RKT is Gerhard Richter of Lehrgeschwader 1, who won the RK on 24th November 1940 as Staffelkapitan of 9.(K)/LG 1.
Ah, many thanks Hucks. Im interested in knowing more about this guy and will be looking through my books before I pack them away. Congrats on such a great find ;-))
Well done Hucks, had to salute you on the Heydrich docs. Very educational. Its not the kind of signature I imagined he would have. Really good thread. Thanks for showing these. kind regards John
