Secondo was born July 11, 1919 and came to Canada in 1950. He immediately took on the name 'Cy'. He worked at various construction jobs until he ventured into opening his own business in 1963 (Peel Petro Chemical Services Ltd.) involving petroleum construction. He sold his business 20 years later but continued to work there for another 6 years. He retired at age 69. Secondo was a man of many talents and achievements. He served in the WWII Italian Army in the artillery division as Captain. He received several medals of honour and courage. He was educated in Italy, studying engineering, architecture and land surveying. We were extremely proud of him when, at age 75, he studied and worked at successfully obtaining his pilot's licence. Secondo was also an amazing athlete who excelled in soccer. He loved to follow soccer, bicycle racing and Formula 1, often waking up in the middle of the night to watch international games and races. He used the internet, email and Skype, always ready and eager to learn more. He constantly amazed us with his accomplishments. Our dad will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, sense of humour, hard work, bravery, selflessness, intelligence, devotion and love of junk food! He was truly an amazing person!
