Perhaps the funniest bit of the site is the photo of B29s 'being escorted on a mission to Germany'. I think some research into this is needed...

Thanx guys! It´s nice sometimes to just relax and have a laugh on other things.War is such a serious thing that there seldom is anything to laugh about... And I think one of the main things in life is to have fun..and travel alot!
What happened to the real British Liverpool fans... Should have known.... http://home.enter.vg/badhumour/sports_01.htm
Well, ... If World War II Had Been Fought Like The War In Vietnam http://www.nationallampoon.com/flashbacks/ww2/ww2.html
Kai, I have to disagree with you one one thing only. In an above posting--you said all the guys in that picture were British fans from Liverpool. I disagree--really they are all in a "Mr. Carter look alike Contest" "Mr. Carter, as in Mr. Carter from Welcome Back Carter" I think the kid in the front row looks most like him dont you? [ 06. Just for "interest" to show you that Sweden used to be a leading nation in Europe a couple of hundred years ago. And Finns were with them, except we were their "slave army " as you can guess from the map. And in ice hockey Finland has been the loser of losers until 1995 when we won the championship in our rival country´s home stadium in Stockholm!!! I can say I have seen it all. Before that even England was better in medals, I think they won the championship back in the 20´s or something! Some great pics anyway... The man Swedes hate... The man Finns hate oho-hoh
"Slave army"? Well as far as I know you were not regarded different. As for the championships- isn't it funny that it takes a Swedish coach to turn the luck around. regards
Who Mario or Wayne? They were both deadly to Goaltenders in their day. [ 07. December 2002, 02:48 PM: Message edited by: Otto ]
Oh sorry Otto! I meant actually the guy below that text. It´s Ville Peltonen, the man who scored a hat trick in the final in 1995 against Sweden as we won 4-1. As well Teemu Selänne is great in that sense as he scored twice in 1998 Olympics against the best Swedish team ever and we won 2-0. At the same tournament we won in the Bronze match the Canadian team (!!) 3-2 with Ville Peltonen goal! Things that will not probably happen again... The guy Finns hate is Mats Sundin. There are actually two of them that scored twice against Finland in the dying minute of the match. Anders "Masken" Carlsson who scored in 1986 twice within 40 seconds and thus Finland did not get the first medal ever in championship level then. And Mats Sundin who scored twice in some one minute time at the end of a match in 1991. Horrible memories for us these two incidents... Yes, Charlie, it was quite awkward back in 1993 ( I think ) when Curre started to coach Finland. But he was great and taught us how to win! In the beginning of the 90´s we practically lost every game against the Canada team and after a tv program we Finns answered to questions with "Canada". Like "what´s for dinner?" "Canada" "What´s on TV?" "Canada"... Something the Canadien "should" remember or would like to forget was the Peter Forsberg penalty goal in Lillehammer 1994...How about that, to put some salt in the wounds...??? http://members.tripod.com/~Tre_Kronor/forsberg.htm Anyway, it´s just a game and there´s always the next season, don´t forget that!
