    I dont think the Vampir Stg44 infra red sight ever saw service...

    I suspect its one of those fantasy items... ;)

    I have never seen a 'combat' photo of one but I may be wrong... I have seen a prototype photo...

    NIGHT FIGHTING PANTHERS Here's a nice article on other IR uses. Anyone have any other accounts or any other information - a nice post-war US evaluation report would be nice .... [​IMG] What happened to the technology?
