The moderation team/trustees are aware that I am sort of missing in action until the beginning of Oct, but thought since I sometimes hear directly in my PMs from those searching for family I'd post a quick note here as to my whereabouts.

It really hurts to say that I have left my own country where we normally have accessible medical care to have diagnostic tests and surgery which is not available there - or the US for that matter. I'm in Costa Rica and in a couple of days will be hoping to see a reversal of my MS due to a relatively controversial treatment for CCSVI, based upon research by an Italian vascular surgeon/professor who was trying to find a way to assist his wife whose MS was worsening. There are now several hundred cases of those diagnosed with MS who have had success with this treatment and I'm hoping I will be one of them after my surgery on the 23rd.

So I will be down here for a couple of weeks. While we unexpectedly decided to purchase and bring a laptop to use the hotel's WiFi, I noted tonight that I've had to relog in multiple times usually as I want to post!! I expect that tonight was the longest I will be on here as my days become filled with medical things. Nice bonus on the way down was our brief overnight stop in Houston, where I chatted for a little while with Carl over the phone.

So I look forward to being able to be on here more regularly next month, with considerably more energy and verve than I've had before! Take Care!

Echoing the others Michelle, best wishes for a successful medical outcome and a relief from the MS. Or at the very least a significant moderation of your pains/immobilities. Will look forward to your reappearing on the board "full time"!

At the risk of redundancy, my best wishes as well. I've been following on Facebook as well and I read the article you posted. I hope this brings about the results you hope for. Come back when you are able.
