Which uniform?

    Hello,

    I just found a picture of an soldier, who served in the Us Army. My grandmother told me that he was at the Army Signal Corps in the Korean War can the uniform confirm that?

    It is a strong possibility. There are no patches or pins to help. I blew up the photo but the blurred disc worn on the left side can be seen as that worn by signal corps members as shown below.

    Only other clue is the piping on the garrison cap. I have not been able to find if there was any specific color piping for the signal corps. Not much I know. Good luck

    IMO base don't the pic, I would say it's Korean War, black tie, black low quarters, and the OS hat style is indicative of the 1950s era uniform. They wore Ike jackets into the mid to late 50s.
