Paul the octopus is getting death threats now….

BERLIN (Reuters) – Some Germans are calling for a public roasting of
the oracle octopus who correctly picked the winner of all six of their national soccer team's World Cup matches -- including a bitter defeat to Spain on Wednesday.

Yes The Germans want him Cooked and eaten:D

Paul The German Octopus Has predicted Spain will Win the World Cup, as a Spaniard I'll believe it when I C It!

El presedent Of Spain Stated "José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero" said jokingly yesterday that he was prepared to offer state protection to Paul before today's performance, which was live on German TV. "I am concerned for the octopus ... I am thinking of sending him a protective team," he said.

The Spanish environment and fisheries minister, Elena Espinosa, added: "On Monday, I shall be at the European Council of Ministers and I shall be asking for a [fishing] ban on Paul the octopus so the Germans do not eat him."

Paul the oracle belongs on the dinner table.....what a poor joke. When you have to rely on an Octopus to predict the outcome of a world fmous event that has more analysts than any other sport on the globe, it says a lot for the prdictive qualities of those said analysts.

Put Paul into the seafood platter and stop mincing about with pointless publicity stunts for a World Cup that needs no such stunts. Does anyone in their right mind really believe this moronic creature can predict anything at all?

Go Holland! I have no objections to Spain, but Holland have been a staple of the World Game for many years now, giving us an entire style of play as well as the only player to have a 'move' named after him, (Kruyff with the Kryuff Turn"). The Netherlands deserve a win for their consistencey, but it is refreshing to have two countries in the final that have not won a world title before....so if Spain take the crown thats good too!

Not a bad game today Germany VS Uruguay. Had some excitement and it wasn't a one sided game. With one second to go they could of tied it, To Bad. Germany takes Third Place 3-2, their still young and will have to see what happens in the Next Euro Cup.

Win Or lose It's the first time Ever in the Finales, therefore if they loose to Bad, but I'll Suck It Up! I'm proud at my teams Performance in this World Cup even though the start was a train wreck and in last place, they showed Hart and Guts and fought back all adversity. I'm going down with the Ship if need be.

congratulations to Spain although the player was off-sides and should of been yellow-carded. one of the most boring World cup performances I have seen to date.

both teams played piss-poor should of had Germany in the final instead

Get your glasses checked the player wasn't of side "should of been Yellow Carded? sounds like Hog-Wash to me. I'll gladly show you 6 links with Video Play as Proof. You complain about one yellow card when the Netherlands should of Receive 3 Red Cards plus more Yellows then they Received. Very Dirty Players!

Well maybe your Opinion Germany and Finland had no Place in the Final nor wore they worthy or had the capabilities or Talent to even beat a Team Like Spain who dominated the Germans for 3/4 of the Game and sent them Home or third place, Aaaa Yes Twice.

Some games where boring but other weren't and Today wasn't they played Hard and a fast game according to all News Sport Media.

De Jong should have been sent off early for his challenge. Kuyts challenger looks bad in that picture but really was not. Puyol (or however his name is spelled) should also have been sent off for his tackle on Robben that prevented him from scoring. There should have been more yellow cards for Spain too if the ref had kept his criteria up - there were certainly some phantom yellow cards for minimal/no contact during the game.

Iniestas goal was perfectly onsides. Video replay show he had a good 5 feet to go before it was even close.

Congrats to Spain but what an overall boring performance by them throughout the whole world cup..... 7 goals in 7 games (lowest ever by a winning team).

Spain Becomes the First Euro Team in the History of Foot to Win Outside of Europa.

As the Netherlands Became the Most Dirtiest Players in the History of The World Cup with the most Yellows! Source; the International Press.

Hell they even resorted to using Kung-Fu Kicks to try to Stop the Spaniards

With their World Cup winners and their Wimbledon and French Open champion Rafael Nadal,
who was in Soccer City for the final, Spain can brag of being the No.1 sporting nation of 2010.
    A real achievement.

Spain's Alberto Contador also remains in the running to defend his Tour de France title, too.

If not We have others to take His Place in "The Tour." Unless "Armstrong" pulls a Lloyd Landis
and I pray he finally gets Caught.

Well torres didn´t scored any goal, he went to the world champioship with problems in his ... knee? Pedro is so young.

The team arrived once and again, and again, made so many shots every match, but didn't scored as I would like.
But they scored one goal more than his opponents.:D

Congrats Spain. You deserved it. Awful tackle by de Jong. Definitely a red card situation. Holland had its chances as Robben was twice against the goalie only but Mr Casillas was better both times. Great goal by Iniesta.
