Im looking for more books with information about firearms dating between the start of the 20th century to modern times.

I have a few but they cover relativly few weapons at awkward timezones, so what would be the best book(s) going into detail about modern and post 19th century weapons?

    Thanks

    Rob

Refining your request is certainly helpful. We've got an expert on ANYTHING about WWII here, I do believe. I used to sleep with a Ma Deuce.

Well i've got my eye on 3 books

The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Rifles and Machine guns by William Fowler
The New Weapons of the World Encyclopedia by 'diagram group'
Infantry Weapons of World War 2 by Jan Suermondt

They all look like decent books at reasonably prices, all 3 come to around £35 on Amazon which isnt bad

I'm familiar with the Diagram Group. I had their "Illustrated History of Weaponry" in Gunther Rothenburg's class on military arms at Purdue. I recommended it to the prof that took over that slot when GR went to Australia.
