I recently wrote a thread on a "southern front" in WWII (alternate history) and was googling around to see what type of stuff would come up when searching for "if Spain and Turkey joined the Axis". Came across this site, and suprisingly, one of the threads that came up had a link back to my site on Turkey in WWII.

About me, I'm the founder and admin of the World Affairs Board, a geopolitical discussion site. I have a degree in political science, live in Arlington, VA, and consider myself a history buff. I have a deep interest in WWII, and am currently re-reading Barbarossa. Sometimes I take an interest in alternate history stuff, and although most of it is poorly written, there's a rare exception.

My current "Southern Front" piece explores if the Germans had decided to focus on the Mediterranean after wrapping up the Balkans campaign, by sweeping through Vichy-held North Africa to close off the western Mediterranean to the British, then heading east toward the Suez Canal to turn it into a German link, possibly inducing Spain and Turkey to enter the fray on the Axis side.

    Glad to be here. :)

    IronDuke, Welcome.

Good to have you here. You mentioned that most alternative history threads are poorly written. In that you are correct, which is one the main reasons I participate in them sparingly.

Jump on in and swim around a bit.
