That's just unbelievable that 9 younger guys just stood around! 83 years young! Good for him!

I guess that statement Clint Eastwood made about this country, could be applied here as well!
My favorite statement of his was this: "...not be a shrinking violet...." That's great!
The other men in that shop should be ashamed of themselves. Wussies.

Daily Mal Alert! Stefan.... ;) :D

The trouble we have here is the Human (Criminal) Rights Act and people shat there pants thinking should I help out.

I remember one guy ran down a bank robber by jumping on him, he was ordered to pay for a new jacket for the robber as he damaged it.

read the comments at the bottom of the article. Some people need an attitude adjustment.

To the people who feel this way, I hope you get robbed and everyone just watches you take a beating.

The sad fact is that statement is true.

While it may be true, I would much rather face an assault charge than stand by doing nothing while an elderly man gets pistol whiped by some thug.

I'm one of the few who would agree with you and step in to do something.

I "stepped in" a while back. I won't go into the details, but in this case the Police were very happy with me. As well as the other party involved. I may have thought twice if the guy had a gun, but who knows. I'm old school, raised by old school parents, people who wrong others deserve to get knocked on their a@@.

    I'd do it again too.

About 15 years ago, I was driving down 14th Street in my old hometown-when I spotted some bassho1e driving a small red foreign car-and he was punching his wife in the face-several times and hard enough for me to her hair flying violently with each punch. If that's one thing I don't tolerate-that is seeing a so-called ""man"" andI use the word (man) very loosely--hit a female.

Well, I was probably about 50 feet behind his car-and I followed him to a neghborhood that has mainly only Military personnel living at. Well, I followed him (and unseen) to near his home and I wrote down the address and watched him pull his wife out of the care-by her Auburn-colored long hair-and this ba$t@rd continued to beat her. I drove quickly to the nearest convience store and called the Shore Patrol-who to their credit, arrived within about 10 minutes of my call. I went back and parked in a strategic place where I could watch the house-and I could her it yelling at her - and I heard her screaming and crying-and you could tell this lady wa terrified. Well, 5 or 6 Shore Patrol showed up at the house-and the puke dork opened the door denying that there was anything wrong. This iswhen I drove up to talk to one of the SP guys and told him loud enough for that prick to hear that I was the one who called the SPs on it. I described everything as I saw it and exactly where I was when I saw the jerk starting to slap and punch her. That was all they neded and they went inside to see the Lady-and even if she were to deny anything happened-she was so badly bruised about her face-army etc-that the SPs arrested that sorry jerk and hauled it away. To the ladies credit-I heard her tell the Officer in charge-whome I knew and was friends with--that she was going to press charges and wasgoing to make preparations to move back to wherever her Parents lived.

This lady came over to me and thanked me for calling the SPa and her from being beaten even more than she was-and I also earned a kiss on my right facial-cheek.

I think a lot of folk dont help out because they feel just too plain embarassed to do so...

Its the rabbit in headlights scenario...

After basic training in all nations, I think the rabbit and headlights no longer matter to anyone who's served....They just in the main dont have that embarasment factor anymore.

Long story short-I was working an extra job at a hotel 15 years ago when the assistant manager of an adjacent restaurant had an argument with his girlfriend. Leaving the area, he ran her over. Miraculously, she only had a couple of bumps.

I was out of my jurisdiction (40 miles away) but when Houston PD arrived, they refused to do anything, despite there being a victim and two witnesses (one of which was a cop-me).

The next night, when the assistant manager came out I started talking to him and got him around the back corner of the building. I then backed him against the wall and explained to him that there are things you don't do to barely 18 year old young ladies. The next night, and every night after, he would have two male waiters walk him out to the car while they looked warily at me. He never went near her again-I wonder why.

They might as well abolish the law in this country.
