    Good Morning

Can anybody assist please or point me in the right direction.

A pal of mine said his Father was a GI and served in Enniskillin in 1943.

He knows his name was Murray Kendell and he was told that he served with 101st Airborne, however he does not believe the unit served there during WW2.

This is not a lot of information I know and after all these years it is possible his father may not be alive, but I did agree to try and assist.

Can any help with information as to where to start and help him.

Thank You for taking the time to read this.

    Peter

You might want to post your request over in the Information request sub forum. It will likely attract more of the attention you want there. If you put the unit and time frame in the header it may speed up the response.

If your friends father is dead your friend can request his official army records. Some were destroyed in a fire a while ago though so that may turn up blank. You might also check out the divisional web page as it may have information and/or links that prove useful.

    Welcome aboard by the way.

Welcome to the forum channelhopper! Hey, if your friend has any relics of his father's service (photos, patches, medals, badges) you are encouraged to post them on the information section of the forum, as they may assist us with hints or info. Cheers!
