Some interesting views on Religion & the Tsunami here... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/4138095.stm Did you hear that there was some very sick *%$* who posted hoax messages to families looking for news of loved ones on the net?
Actually, next large tsunami might be in the Atlantic. Part of La Palma island might collapse to sea and cause land-slide generated tsunami. But I'm sure its have nothing to do with religious.
I've heard of the possible landslide developing at La Palma, and it doesn't look good, especially since the slide will run west instead of east; in the east there's mostly a lot of desert, but in the west there's the whole continent of America... I don't intend for this topic to turn into a religious discussion, but I don't like people who intend to give disasters a religious meaning. The determination of what is a disaster can vary everywhere, it is free to interpretation; the disasters themselves are completely random and cannot be either predicted or prevented by means of religion.
I know, I was about to mention the fact that Morocco is the only populated area in the course of a possible tsunami east from La Palma. But the area that will be hit will be infinitely smaller since the tsunami will hit the West African coast much earlier, and therefore in a much more narrow area. You are likely to live north of the area that would be hit in the event of an easternbound tsunami. ...
i heared that the quake was so strong that move some islands 30 mts, but in the photos jens post, looks like the island sunk
If such a thing happens, it won't be because of anything that person said, believe me. Of all the idiotic things to say at a time like this...
i just find out that the indonesia goverment declared 70,000 missing peoples dead, this rised the total to 226,000
That's so very sad; bad enough when you have a body to bury, but having a loved one missing is even worse.
