    I remember that the last recession brought forth a lot of book bargains - not great news for the writers/publishers, but if you're a bargain-hunting enthusiast....

    A walk along London's Charing Cross Road today produced three brand-new, 'remaindered' books ; David M Glantz' 'After Stalingrad - The Red Army's Winter Offensive 1942-1943', Bruno Friessen's 'Panzer Gunner' and Chris Bellamy's 'Absolute War - Soviet Russia In The Second World War'.

    Three very hefty hardbacks in mint condition for under £25 the lot.......
