Penn State football is a college legacy. Peterno who has been the coach for 46 yrs is a legend and will always remain as such. My hopes and prayers go out to the victimized children and their families. If what is being reported by the media regarding peternos knowledge of events and his lack of action (or not enough of) is true, then I must support the victims.

I hope paterno did all he could with the info he possessed. I trust the US legal system, if he did all he could he will be exonerated.

    As you should, Lou.

No sense writing what you said again, so I'll just add "what he ^ said."

Well, Oklahoma State's stumble last night breathed new life into the Crimson Tide's title chances.

I am sure the fans of the Tide (like yourself) are pleased with a "do-over", however I'm not all that thrilled.

Did you add something after "pleased?" All I see is that sound the grown-ups on Charlie Brown made when they were supposed to be talking.

I'm not all that pleased myself with the rematch. I do believe Alabama is the best all around team in football, but its just the system that gets me. I'm told that the BCS works because the regular season is a playoff. If this is the case, I just don't see how that makes it possible for a rematch.

Not really, not even in my head. I just am not that impressed with a rematch is all. I think that perhaps the Oklahoma State Cowboys, another 11-1 team might have made a better match up for the BCS championship game is all. Nothing against 'bama, it is a great team but loosing on your home turf to the guys you are going to face in the big game for all the marbles leaves me sort of cold.

Of course I've never thought much of the BCS system at any rate.

2 things...the SEC is the toughest conference in college ball. And, the NCAA NEEDS a playoff...it is one more season of this crap away from being a joke

Probably the Big 10 Champ. That'd be a game. Or maybe the Pac-10 Champ. That'd be a game too. The system is broken.

System is broken but who can compete with an SEC defense? BIG10 not! 0-5 last bowl season...4-6 this season...PAC12 2-5 this year.....hate the rematch but it is what it is the top two teams playing for it all. Playoff would make this easier to say yeah our team beat yours no matter what...Big10/PAC12/Big opppps little 12 not 12 who knows/ACC/big east etc......

No Bobby, It's the only system League Commisioners are currently willing to except. Each league has there own reasons. The B1G for example could care less about the rest of college football, so long as the B1G gets to keep it's historic Rose Bowl match-up. Holding on to the past is what seems to be killing college footballs future.

That said, I really like this new Pac-10 - B1G partnership deal.

For those you counting the Roll Tides, that was 14, one for each National Championship.

I see both teams forgot what a touchdown was for most the game. At least I went to a game and watched the National Champs play live. Good on Bama.
