I hadn't seen this posted before so I thought I would add it. This was another list that I have been working on. Amazing, when you consider this list in contrast to the Knight's Cross Recipients list I have previously worked on.

The List is in alpha order by war. As always I will try to keep it as up to date as possible. If you notice any errors / omissions, please let me know.

This man is good friends with Old Hickory. They met after the war.

I was offered the opportunity to meet him at the 30th Infantry Division reunion last March, but was unable to attend due to family illness.

I am going to go next year.

I wish you the best of luck with meeting with him. I imagine that would be one heckuva honor. It's too bad that most people do not realize what these men have done and sacrificed for their country. Sometimes I look at what is going on in this country and I wonder whether their sacrifices were worth it.

Hi Andrew, thank you much for this list. I have address to many of these MoH Recipients but do not know where my list at this time? Anyway, many of the ones on you list I do have addresses for. If I can find it sometime soon? ill gladly give you any you might not have.

Anyway, thank you or this list. I know its a lot to ask but, do you have anything like this on Hero of the Soviet Union recipients? I was doing some work on them on another site but I no longer have access to the info I posted on that site. I'd like to post that info here sometime if I can ever regain access to that info?

    Carl

    Thanks for the kind words.

Wish I could help, but I have never come across anything documenting the living recipients of the HOTSU medal.

Mr. Williams has passed. June of 2022. Super guy. Met him twice. Supported the Gold Star Families Memorials across the country. May he rest in peace.

    A nerdy but important detail:

These are not Congressional Medal of Honor recipients.
They are Medal of Honor recipients.

It offers no disrespect to the chaps to get the name of the award slightly wrong. Very common error.
It is not, however, the award they earnt.
