big negative........you are wrong and I believe it is documented here......I've been saying the same thing loooooong before this election .....I said it after 9-11, Ft Hood, Iran Hostage Crisis, etc
this is a big circle again.....it will not be a good time when I/we said ''we told you so''

 

And it's at least as clear that there are more and better reasons for not doing so.

 

There have been what half a dozen Moslem Americans who have committed terrorist acts here. Last I read over a dozen had died over seas serving in the US military. So where am I wrong?

As I've said to a number of the questionable posters here simply repeating your opinion doesn't make it any more valid than stating it once.

 

the US is getting screwed, exponentially, to the nth degree...we give away mucho $ overseas --both government and private...we send jobs overseas...we bring in millions of workers to the US...how smart is that?? send jobs overseas--bring in workers ??

these workers send BILLIONS$ to their home countries, sucking it out of the US instead of building up the US economy

many non-Americans come to the US for college--so the colleges can rack up the prices for Americans to pay ...and many US students are rejected for certain schools and the sub-schools because they are filled, with some of those as foreigners

As to the first, have you looked at the prices colleges charge for non US citizens? We had an exchange student for a year which got me curios so I looked around. In some state schools they pay almost triple what a state resident pays and more than double what a US non state resident pays. Doesn't sound like they are being accepted so that prices can be "racked up" for Americans to me.

As for the last you are simply being ridiculous which is I agree not being very smart.

I honestly think that Donald Trump's Islamophobia in part, is to win the votes of the Bible Belt who'd otherwise see Donald Trump the casino owner,

 

I'm not a Trump supporter, but to define his position as "Islamophobia" is to ignore the definition of phobia (an irrational fear), as well as his actual position on Islamic immigration, which is only a temporary ban. Nations get to decide who they will allow in and who they won't. An unknown percentage of those middle easterners are indeed radicalized, so it is not irrational to fear allowing them in until they can be properly vetted, which is what Trump's temporary ban calls for. Even those who aren't radicalized have little or no concept of American (or western) values and institutions. They strongly disapprove of our Constitution and Bill of Rights, think women are inferior, approve of Sharia law, etc.

Basically, we don't need them and that "trumps" their need because it is our country. They don't benefit our economy, they don't like our way of life, they despise our social and political institutions and they present a risk, so why let them in? We already have a huge flow of (mostly) unskilled labor coming in from the south who do share a common western culture and even they present problems, so why open a floodgate of people who despise us?
