Not to worry Biak, it will auto-forward to the new site. This will be in fact our second domain change. The first domain change was back in 2007 where we moved from ww2forums.com to ww2f.com. Having everything at WW2.org will make access a lot simpler, and all will be able to see our growing WWII lexicon at the same location. After a couple months or so, no one will even notice the difference. In other positive news. The entire content of the fantastic WorldWar2Zone forum will also be imported during the upgrade. We will have well over 1 million posts of content after our move is complete.
I hate change! I mean seriously, have you ever tried getting dressed quietly in a dark closet with a pocket full of change?
ugh. 2007. horrible year. change is good, kind of like those steel balls you rub together to relax. except sounds like Santa's sleigh is in my pocket. is collecting a million posts considered hoarding?
Proudly Yes. I might be the only military history discussion board collector (hoarder) in the world. No idea why I have this compulsion, but seeing WWII websites drop into the ether pains me to no end.
Twenty-five years of converting and formatting paper documents would qualify me as a hoarder, I think. I also like to think that I made millions/billions of copies of documents that would never have been seen if I hadn't. Being one of many people doing this helped, too. And thank you for making sure all that lives on.
I see post numbers right next to the "like" button. Or did you mean the ability to go to a specific post number? Some forums also allow one to go directly to a page that you type the number in. Works well in longer threads.
Can't see post numbers at the moment as I am on my phone. There are post numbers when I'm on laptop. Well that's how it is on ww2talk & assume it the same here as it's same software.
was once - yes I have no cigarettes- on utube. had a great collection of favourite rare music vids. not sure why or how all those great vids disappear. was fun collecting them, frustrating losing them
The posts numbers are there in a browser, and do exist within each post. On my phone I do not see them either, but they do appear when I turn it sideways and the display gets a little wider. It's a spacing issue that impacts small mobile devices only.
yes, see post # now. he he hee. damn phone. I dont do sideways phone posts. videos sometimes. thanks for the info. while I'm here, sometimes the keyboard wont appear when wanting to write a reply in a thread. just happened. had to refresh, then board appeared.
The keyboard is part of your phone's interface, and is not governed by the Forums. Generally it appears when you tap the empty text box at the bottom of the thread to enter your responses.
