We require a versatile armored vehicle for the defense of our Kaganevian front, which consists entirely of deep, dense woods.

It will be dealing with the most horrendous conditions imaginable. In spring and summer, the mud is deep and foul. In the winter, the temperature drops extremely and there are several meters of snow. Thick quartz outcrops have been known for eating tank treads. The roads are no wider than 3 meters. Thick trees obscure vision everywhere. It is difficult to conduct encircling maneuvers due to the terrain.

Our main enemy, Kaganevia, has high-tech MBT's and SPG carriages (designed by forum members ;) ), which we are certain will be at a disadvantage in the dense forests against our purpose-designed vehicle.

Tactics will be "shoot and scoot" at low ranges. Corridors of fire will be heavily restricted, and most combat situations will see the vehicle firing down narrow roads, firing smoke grenades and repositioning.

Good communications between vehicles are a must, so equip the vehicle with a radio (a dedicated radio operator is positive).

    To recap:

Minimal gun size of 75 mm with good AT capability.
    Good smoke grenade system

    What will be stressed:
    Power to weight ratio
    Mobility
    Physical size
    Relatively easy servicing (especially track-changing)
    Relative survivability (should be armored)

Monday in two weeks, ye all can submit your designs

Notes: #When making your presentation, make arguments for why the vehicle is mobile (track width, power-to-weight, gearbox, etc.)

    # Range of engagement will be from 20-200 meters.
    # Minimum front armor of 80 mm
    # It has to be a practical for use during wintertime above the Arctic Circle . This environment has the factor of being very dark during the wintertime.
