I'd have forgoten about it but, the Medal (cross) in question that has the wrong ribbon (ribbon is for a Long-Service medal-such as the 4 yr Army Long Service medal it was close to) the cross withthe wrong ribbon is what they call the "Hindenburg Cross" given to all men who honorably served in WWI.

The Adler made of Aluminum, is an Officers visored cap eagle.

Great collection. Thanks for sharing. Did you ever finish the shadow box?

Thanks for the information on the pistol and rosary, ramborob17.
C.Evans, thank you as well for the help.

I have gotten behind on my research lately, due to work. I have been working on the shadow box, it should be complete soon. I will post pictures when it is finished.

Should be very easy to track down the citation for the Silver Star, since you have the medal, the name, and other info. I'd be more interested in that than anything else.

Where would one go to find the citation for a medal? I have the medal and it is also listed on my fathers discharge. I would like to see what was written on the citation

    Thanks

    Dan
