That's one thing I've never done, taken progress pics.I'm curious, why do you ask?If you really want to see some, check the finescale.com armor forum.I have definately seen them there.BTW,I have to install a few photo-etched parts and then I get to paint.I almost forgot about those.

Well, the Firefly is built. Now I have to decide on a base color. The box art depicts a lighter shade of green than was normal I think. However,I really like it and want to match it.I've moved in with Boba and there isn't a hobby shop anywhere near here! :( This sucks!I have hundreds of jars of paint but nothing I can use.

This is home now.LHS or no LHS.
I went with Tamiya Olive Drab for the base coat. It's nowhere near as light as I want, but I'm gonna try giving it a heavy dry-brushing of a lighter green. This will provide shading as well as giving me the overall color I'm shooting for.

It's kinda slow round this thread lately. :(
I brushed a coat of Polly Scale RLM 67 dark olive green over the Tamiya olive drab.As I hoped, this created shading in the recessed areas.I then drybrushed the entire vehicle with Citadel Colour Bleached Bone to highlite the edges and raised areas. This also lightened the overall vehicle color.I must admit I am very pleased with the results. On to the tracks next.

I haven't really made much progress with anything lately. Too busy at home these days. :(

    Seen and noted ;)

You were right. I shall try to keep some posting up from now, especially since the deadline is now worryingly close.
I'm afraid I won't get it done before time's up. maybe I can try to finish my Stug in the summer holiday, which will start on June 31st

It seems a few members could use a bit more time to complete thieir entries.Boba Nette I'm sure would like a bit more time.Could anyone else use a few more days?It would be rather difficult to have a Group Build with no Group!Afterall,Operation Overlord was postponed more than once!

That's cool. The project covers June 6 through July 31, 1944 so I see no reason we can't extend the deadline to the end of July.
