Hello, My name is Marcel Hogenhuis, living in Venlo where in WW-2 a large German nightfighter airfield was built. Its history dominates my historical research since 1984 and my archive has grown to a room of 18 m2 and 35 m of bookshelves. At the moment I am busy with several databases of aircraft which have been in Venlo: Bf 110, Me163, He219 etc. / an indepth reconstruction of RAF Bomber Command versus Luftwaffe nightfighters for the evening of 20th December 1942 / writing a history of the first German nightfighter Gruppe I./NJG 1. Hoping to help more people as questions of mine posted in this forum, all the best, drs. Marcel Hogenhuis / Venlo / the Netherlands www.fliegerhorst-venlo.net
Greetings, Marcel. Fascinating research projects you have. Hope you will post much more information about them. An excellent website link, too. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the forum.
Welcome Marcel, with your background, it is good to have you join us. I look forward to your discussion.
Welcome Marcel, I am muself a big nightfighter buff (particulary NJG2 , NJG4 and NJG5). I 'd be happy to help if you need anything about NJG1 . I know a lot about Bomber Command crashes . You also want to meet Erich who is another NJG fan.
