Help Needed on Wittmanns decorations.

    Bish--sorry I didnt see this message before rereading it today. The DKiG in German is: DeutschesKreuz im Gelb. In English it is the German Cross in Gold.

    It was commonly referred to as "Hitlers Fried Egg" by recipients of that award. The DKiG was instituted to bridge the gap between the Iron Cross 1st class and the Knights Cross.
