Ill be posting most of my collection of Imperial and WWII German rank insignia tomorrow. You may or may not drool over them? ;-))

Ok folks, these boards are for an Enlisted man in a Nebelwerfer (Rocket) unit>

These were sliced off the mans uniform with a bayonet by some enterprising G.I. ;-))
Hauptmann 29th Artillerie Regiment. Some of these units served at Stalingrad, Kursk etc. Ill give more info on them after re-researching them.

 

Hauptmann 18th Artillerie regiment:

These are my only remaining pair of Imperial German boards. 5th Uhlan Kavallerie regiment Rittmeisters boards. Now I cant prove it but what I was told be a Geneologist who researched them--he said at best--these COULD have belonged to Ewald von Kleist--at worst just any Rittmeister serving in that regiment in 1915. One person told me von Kleist didnt serve in that Regiment--but ive never research his earlier service so do not know.

 

These are my top most prized boards of my tiny collection: These are to an Oberleutnant 1st Panzer Battalion of the Grossdeutschland Division. These are 1943 boards and I got these directly form the man's familoy several years ago. The man was one of their Knights Cross Recipients whose name I cannot post on request from the family as they still reside in Germany:


These are for a Leutnant 33rd Signals Battalion--which was part of a Panzer Division. These came with the cloth chain-stitched cyphers-which were against regulations to wear in the field after I think--9qq1941-42??Off hand I can't remember which one? but I THINK was one that saw action at Stalingrad--or at worst--served in the Afrika Korps. Ill have to re-research the unit to let you know more.

 

Leutnant Propaganda Kompanie 10th Wehrkries District:

Unissued Jager/Panzergrenadier Leutnants boards. These still retain their makers cardboard paper wrapping.

Gebirgsjager Regiment 98 Majors boards. These were purchased from the RKTs family back in 1999. I will provide name and info on the man who formerly wore these ;-)) when I get some stuff done concerning the man himself.

100th Gebirgsjager Regiment Hauptmanns boards.

 

81st infantry Regiment Oberleutnants boards. These are among the rank insignia of an infantry RKT whose acquisition I got directly from the man's widow.

13th Infantry Regiment Reserve Haupmanns boards.

 

17th Infantry Regiment Oberfeldwebels boards.

Kavallerie Oberstleutnants boards. However, these are NOT WWII German boards--but early GDR (East German) boards.

 

Infantry Ofw boards. These have been repaired at some point:

Transportation Leutnants boards w/ Cyphers:
