It has always been this way and the media today likes to incite division because it pays more in ratings and ad money. And our god is money over here. We used to have more government control of the news outlets that tried to ensure balanced reporting but it was decided by the voters that it was bad for business and here we are.

Same over here...anything remotely to do with race is blown up and stretched for effect...totally irresponsible.

Wow! It just came to mind. Oregon. One of the items in my fathers collection of war memorabilia is a studio portrait of the 1st scout in his platoon. He was from Geribaldi, Oregon. I just finished trying to track down his son, who he never met, to give him the portrait but he had already died without heirs. As my dad was a rifleman, they must have been very close. A 21 year old from the heart of Klan country sharing a fox hole and counting on my father for his life. And my father counting on him. My father was 3 of the top 4 things that the klan hated. Catholics, immigrants and union members. If dad had been black he would not have been allowed in the Rangers. The blacks in the FSSF were sent into service units when Black Devils entered the MTO.

    Some WWII content! Great.

How about I close this thread and we all go discuss the Second World War?
