My Grandfather, Roydon Willard James Macleod served as a driver in the Army Service Corp No. M2/121369, in Rouen, France (possibly elsewhere). In civilian life he was an entertainer, tapdancer, and magician. He met his wife to be, Hilda, while they were both in France, she was in Queen Mary Auxilliary Corp as a clerk. One of their acts was where she would be sawn in half. I wonder if they did this act while on active service as an entertainment to his fellow soldiers? I once had a lovely photo of him in his Pierrot costume, but sadly it is lost.
