Hi guys. Need help finding books about the japanese side of the war in the pacific specifically about the Japanese Battleship's Yamato and Musashi. also would be nice to find some books from the russian side of the eastern front.
Shattered Sword is quite good. I think we've another thread that lists books some of which will fit what you are looking for. Asking over on the naval subforum of jaircraft or Tully's port should get you some good recommendations as well.
"Battleship Musashi: The Making and Sinking of the Worlds Biggest Battleship" by Akira Yoshimura "Requiem for Battleship Yamato" by Yoshida Mitsuru "A Glorious Way to Die" by Russell Spurr "Anatomy of the Ship series: The Battleship Yamato" by Janusz Skulski NOTE: This book is due to be reprinted in May, 2017 - Not sure how it will differ from the original. "Warship Profile #30: IJN Yamato and Musashi" by Masataka Chihaya "Warship Pictorial #25 - IJN Yamato Class Battleships" by Steve Wiper
Also, what Opana said. We have this thread sticked. "What books do you think are essential about WW2 Japan?" http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=77187
