Nice stuff. I'm not much of a plane afficionado but I love this kind of thing. Have you got anything in colour?

Very nice! I've seen many pictures of nose art, of course, and some on restored planes, but these ones are new to me.

    Me262,

Yep, that's it. I just love that stuff. I could look at it all day. The other weekend I was lucky enough to watch a couple of Mustangs, a B17 Flying Fortress, an Avro Lancaster, a Hurricane and two Spitfires fly over my head over the Isle of Wight. A magnificent experience on a lovely summer's day. :D

I'm sure there must be some kind of air displays there in Texas. You just have to find out. I only found out by accident. I would have missed it otherwise. There are probably things going on which you don't realise.

    Nice pics too!

Some people have all the luck...

I did, however, once see a C-47 in flight. Very nice! :)

Last Sunday, July 4th, we had a Dacota make four passes over the village to coincide with the ceremony of placing a plaque commemorating the All American 82nd.Airborne Division Engineers who were stationed here in1944. Aveteran of the 82nd. with his wife, a local girl, returned for the occasion to the pub opposite the barracks used popularly by the troops.
A re-enactment chap was also present with his 1944 Jeep.

Okay, who wants to bet that I can draw/paint one of those nose art women, without copying?

Have you ever drawn anything like that before? Or anything at all, for that matter? ;)

Not quite like that (I'm only a kid ;) ) but I know I could. Not on a model plane though. But I will try - check in again sometime, I'll scan and post.

Don't take this personally, any of you: it's just a sample, the only thing I have ready at hand of what I've drawn... :D

Not bad. You've got some potential, Roel. I think you might consider taking some art classes, if you aren't already. :D

It's Death, dave! Of course it resembles every evil in the world!
Notice that I drew some of his weapons on his trenchcoat: Disease, famine, war, racism, drugs, greed.

Thanks Corp! I already had art classes and made this one maybe a year ago. Now I'm takijng much more effort and experience into my "Flying DutchGal"... By the way, what hair color d'you like? :D
