Russian (the next fine language mess)

    I've heard a nice story about a Slovak scientist who went for a confernece to moscow. He thought his Russian was quite good so he decided to speak Russian during his lecture. After an applause the chairman said:
    "Thank our Slovak colleague for his contribution. I was kindly surpised that the Slovak language he has spoken is so similar to Russian."

    This is a trick of many Slovaks and Czechs: to speak their own language, just with a strong Russian accent. Many of us thank this for the success at some examinations in Russian language. :lol:
