   did the Germans have a dedicated sniper rifle, or did they use the Mauser with a scope as the sniper rifle?

   The Mauser Kar 98k was used as a Sniper Rifle as was the Walther - Gewehr 43/Karabiner 43. I would think that other German Rifles were also used.
