I won't go into details, but I can definately identify with you. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours Musso.
My thoughts and prayers are also for you and the family. Consider the request sent on it's way to the Lord ;-)
Musso, You have the support and prayers from your fellow rogues... stay strong, and be blessed. Sending prayers from Denver take care, Mark
Thanks for the kind words. He is doing much better now, but still not his old self. Has trouble finding certain words and we need to help him out some trying to complete his sentences. Thinking about releasing him to home today, where therapy will continue along with a visiting nurse to help my mom take care of him until he is fully recovered.
This is good new Musso, anytime they let ya go home a guy starts to recover quicker. Being in the "horsepistol" is just such a downer, it takes forever to get on track and start recovering. That is great. Best to you and yours, from Big Sky Country!
My thoughts and best wishes are with you and your family, Matt. I sincerely hope that your Dad pulls through OK.....
Glad to hear the good news, Matt. Keep a positive attitude. You'd be surprised how much that will help both you and him.
Good to hear...........the human brain is amazing. The more you use it the better it gets. Keep talking to him and keep him mentally active, keep him using his brain. I have had a couple of friends suffer brain injuries and the difference in 2 years is night and day. It is a long process. Keep us posted
i cant do you a prayer musso my old yankee nemassis ...i do though offer you all good wishes. Life has a habit of kicking us at times..kick back...
Heres an update on the situation. They managed to get him off the IV and released him from the Hospital on Friday, a good week and a half after going in for the surgery. He is much happier to be home, though gets a bit peeved about my mom hovering over him all the time when he'd rather just relax and work things out for himself. Physically, he is doing great. Goes on several walks a day, reads the newspaper, etc. Mentally, he still isn't up to par quite yet and will be having a speech therapist visit 3 or 4 times a week (i think, not sure) to help him get back up to snuff. His terminology is still rather odd (think Sophisticated Englishman) and he has trouble forming longer sentences when answering questions. At any rate, things are looking better, its just a matter of time now really.
